Customer email on the right Jira deal, with no BCC
Gambit is a CRM that runs inside Jira Cloud. Gambit Mail Sync is its companion app for Google Workspace and Microsoft 365. It files customer email and attachments on the right account and deal, with no BCC. Each thread becomes one Jira work item, called a Conversation.
Free on Jira sites of up to 10 users.
Capture needs a paid Gambit plan.
Reps write email as usual, and Jira keeps the thread
Mail Sync captures email with your Contacts, your open Leads and people who write from your Accounts’ web domains. When a rep starts or answers a thread with someone new, Mail Sync captures it from the rep’s sent copy. That thread goes to your Inbox, under Unlinked threads, where someone links it or creates the contact. One thread stays one Conversation, with its attachments, even when it reaches several reps’ mailboxes. When an admin adds a mailbox, Mail Sync brings in the last 90 days of mail with known customers, or 7, 30, 180 or 365 days.
Filter threads by deal, owner, sentiment or files
Conversations in Gambit lists each captured thread you can open. Filter by owner, account, deal, sentiment or files. Search subjects, people and message text. A Conversation has the same visibility as the records it’s linked to, so email on a private deal stays with that deal’s people. Capturing a thread sends nobody a Jira notification.
Read-only, with card numbers removed before Jira
Mail Sync connects with read-only access and changes nothing in a mailbox or calendar. Before an email reaches Jira, Mail Sync removes payment card and US Social Security numbers from its subject and text. A card number becomes “[card ending 4242 removed]”. Attached files are stored as sent. Conversations and their files are Jira work items, so they stay on your site if you uninstall Mail Sync or Gambit.

Can Gambit send or delete my email?
