Mail Sync adds email capture on the same bands

Gambit Mail Sync is a second app that captures Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace email onto your Jira work items. The same band rules and annual pricing apply.

Capture needs a paid Gambit plan.

Mail Sync requires an active Gambit subscription.

Microsoft 365 users connect their own mailbox wherever their IT allows it, or IT connects everyone; Google Workspace capture is connected by the IT admin; capture is labelled beta; personal Gmail opens after Google's review, with a waitlist.

Ask and monthly AIAbout 60 to 100 Ask analyses a monthUp to 25 Ask analyses per person a day, and AI worth at least 25% of your monthly price

Gambit's AI is included in your subscription, with fair-use limits. Each person can run up to 25 Ask analyses a day, within a monthly fair-use limit for each person; questions that fit a report don't count. Summaries and other automatic AI draw on their own monthly pool. Your admins set how many analyses each person can run a day, and can give a person more. Reports, search and everything else keep working.

Gambit's own AI, capture and background jobs are included in your subscription and use neither Rovo credits nor Automation steps. The Gambit agent in Rovo, Rovo Studio agents that use Gambit's tools, and Automation rules built from Gambit's templates or actions use your Atlassian allowances: Rovo credits from 3 Dec 2026, and Automation steps from your first renewal on or after 3 Dec, shown per rule in your admin Usage tab.

On Jira Free, everyone on the site sees every record; private deals need Jira Standard or above.

How the monthly AI works

When a trial ends, your records stay in Jira

A site of 10 or fewer users moves to the free tier. A larger site turns read-only in Gambit until you buy, and every record stays open in Jira. If a paid subscription lapses, Gambit turns read-only too, with no AI, capture or imports.

Buy through a Solution Partner

Atlassian Solution Partners can quote and buy both apps for you, with Atlassian's Solution Partner discount on both. Ask your partner for a quote, or contact us through support for an introduction.

Questions and answers

How much does Gambit cost?

Free on Jira sites of up to 10 users. From 11 to 100 users, each user costs $2.50 a month. Above 100, each band costs less, down to $0.10 a user above 2,500. Atlassian bills you in US dollars, monthly or annually.

Priced on every user of your Jira site.

How is the price counted?

Atlassian counts every user on your Jira site, whether or not they use Gambit. A site of 11 to 100 users pays the 11 to 100 rate on every user, so 15 users pay for 15. Above 100 users, each rate applies only to the users inside its band.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Start a free trial from either Marketplace listing, Gambit's or Mail Sync's. A trial gives you every feature of the edition you're trying, including that edition's monthly AI. Sites of 10 or fewer users don't need one, because the free tier covers them.

What does the free tier leave out?

The free tier leaves out AI summaries, next steps, drafts and AI proposals, and its health reasons are templated. You don't choose the free tier; your site size does. Free on Jira sites of up to 10 users. Past 10 users, Standard pricing starts, and everything you've built stays.

Free on Standard for sites of 1–10 users: the whole CRM, industry packs and Ask, with about 60 to 100 Ask analyses a month; background capture, summaries and drafts need a paid plan.

Is annual billing cheaper?

Yes. A year costs 10 times the monthly price, so you pay for 10 months and get 12. Mail Sync's annual pricing works the same way. At 100 users, Gambit Standard costs $250 a month or $2,500 a year, and Mail Sync $250 a year.
